In the school of Christ, God can and will allow testing and trials. This happens because we have not reached completion. This is part of the fashioning and purification process. In order to truly discern the truth, we will have to come close to the heart and mind of Christ. This is in the mature stage when we are closer to completion, of overcoming and gaining the victory over the beast, over self, over the world, over Satan. This happens by the undeserved, empowering grace of God, through faith in Christ and His kingdom, which encompass His Law, character and spirit. These are all interconnected and make up the image of God. The key to understand God’s true ways, is a pure and purer heart.

Read more about this in the article called "The image of the beast versus The Image of God. Abraham had to go through severe testing of faith and loyalty. God allowed Him to be tested so severeley that Abraham was even ready to sacrifice his son, believing it was God’s will that he should. But was it God’s will? It was God’s will that Abraham should be tested, but it was not God’s will that Abraham should sacrifice His son. Because Abraham had not finished the race and had not reached full maturity in his walk with God, there was a veil that covered the eyes of Abraham in terms of spiritual vision. This is part of the immature stage. This is the case for every single believer who choose to be in the school of Christ. It is out of free choice that we have agreed to be part of this very advanced, brilliant, yet very hard school. This school is the testing, trying and molding process = the exorcism of demonic character traits and doctrines of demons we believe in and hence shaped by, It is also the education process and the proess where we get to know Christ by being partkakers in His sufferings, where we learn to trust Him. It is also the divine "military" school where we are trained for battles against Satan and His attacks and deceptions. Abraham believed that it was God’s will that he should sacrifice his own beloved son. And it grieved him terribly. It darkened his heart in a most terrible manner. He could not understand why God would want him to do something so horrible. He wept, and was in terrible mental agony because of it.

Not only was it the thought of having to lose his own son, but also the idea that God required this of him. Abraham would never have imagined a moment so dark, but there seemed to be no other explanation. With deep agony he went up to the mountain to do what he believed God requested of him. It was a severe testing of his loyalty. Nontheless it was a test he was willing and determined to undergo.

But then when the sky seem the darkest, God eventually sends light and in this case an angel to the rescue to enlighten Abraham of God’s true nature and will. That no, this was not the will of God to have Abraham executing the sacrifice. Abraham could have chosen to not listen to the angel and been convinced it was Satan appearing like an angel, and hence proceeded with his mission and ended up sacrificing his son.

So Abraham was left with a severe dilemma. What voice should he listen to now? In this moment, what voice was now coming from God? Abraham chose to listen to the message that bade him stop and not commit this terrible action. Because it was not the will of God. If Abraham had chosen to ignore the message from the angel, he had at that point rejected light coming from God. The message of mercy and light of Gods’ true and loving nature. He had then chosen to listen to the “voice of yesterday”, which was just a test from God. There were actually two tests. As soon as God had tested his loyalty to the extreme, an angel of mercy was sent to enlighten Abraham of His true will, nature and character. And this is how God is testing many of His people still to this day, in various ways. Except God never requre physical sacrfices anymore. Spiritual on the other hand. Because we are still in the school of Christ, and we have not reached completion yet, God is allowed to send such tests and fiery trials. But then after He has tested us in extreme things, He sends an angel of mercy to guide us back in the right direction, towards the true light. Had Abraham ignored the new light, and proceeded, been convicted the message was not from God, but too merciful or loving, Abraham would then from that point have chosen Satan as his god, and not Christ. Because he would not have lived up to the available light and truth of the present. This is how many of the scribes and pharisees were lost, because they ignored present light of mercy and love. Hence they never got to learn character of God, and as such, their hearts was far from Him. Stuck in the mud, unable to get out from the ditch they were in. So they rejected Christ, they rejected mercy and they rejected divine light. They rejected the present light that was available to them. Abraham on the other hand, made the correct choice, after he was tested in extreme ways and God saw that he was willing to do anything for God. Even to the point of sacrificing his own son, even though it caused him the most terrible agony of soul. He then chose to listen to the right voice at the critical time. He could have chosen differently and thus ended up like the pharisees of rejecting light, of rejecting the voice of God revealing the character of God, which is a divine love and all it encompass. God is testing all his people who have agreed to be in the school of God/Christ. And we can only advance and finallly gain the victory if we do not back out when the going gets tough, and God allow storms and tornados of various strength to hit us, to test, try and to mold us. While God will not ask us to perform an actual literal sacrifice, he often ask for spiritual sacrifices. However, if we continue and keep ignoring the messages from the angels of mercy and love, that is sent after these severe tests, and we do not recognize that it is the voice of God, with a message coming from the spirit of God, we are at a risk of now rejecting present light.

So TODAY, if we hear His voice, choose wisely. And choose Christ. Not yesterday’s news, or the message you thought was from God, but was just a momentary testing that God was allowed to permit, because we had still quite a few grades to pass in order for us to finally succeed in the school of God. He allows the veil to cover our spiritual eyesight, because nobody has a clear spiritual eyesight until they advance higher up in the school of Christ. In this phase we may think we are good to go, but we do not realize that we are poor, miserable naked and blind (spiritually speaking) and in desperate need of eyesalve. All typical of the Laodicean mindset.

And make sure you do not fall for the pharisaical idea of perfection, which is a perverted version, and not of God. his is where they overfocus too much on the outer, and minor things. However it could be sent to you as a test of loyalty for a limited period of time, only to send you an angel of mercy and love afterwards, in your peronsal path toward righteousness. But God does not force you, but He will perform it if you ask for it and sign up for it, and if and when it is needed. until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”- Ephesians 4:13-15 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as ]by the Spirit of the Lord.» 2.
